Day 1: Tbilisi - Vardzia - Borjomi (390 km). Our tour will start in the morning (08:00 or 09:00). We will drive towards Samtskhe-Javakheti province via towns of Borjomi & Akhaltsikhe. We will have lunch en route, then excursions in Vardzia and Khertvisi, which takes 5-6 hours. For dinner and overnight we will drive to Borjomi or Akhaltsikhe. We will be in Borjomi around 21:00. Overnight in guesthouse in Akhaltsikhe or inBorjomi.
Sights of excursion: - Vardzia - the rock-cut town, was built in the 12-13th cc by Queen Tamar. Initially it was planned as a town-fortress, but later on the complex turned to well defended monastery and important political, cultural, educational and spiritual centre of the country. - Khertvisi Fortress - exact date of its construction is unknown. The fortress already existed in the 10th c. The legend says that Alexander Macedonian has visited the site during his campaign against the East in the 4th c BC. - Atskuri - ruins of the Cathedral of 10th century.
Day 2 Borjomi - Tbilisi (170 km)
After breakfast visit to Borjomi Park & Borjomi mineral water springs. Lunch at the restaurant en route. On the way back, if time permits we suggest to visit Samtavisi Cathedral (11th c), well known by its facade decoration. We will be back to Tbilisi around 19:00.
Note: This tour leads us to Samtskhe-Javakheti region, which is known by important historical events, numerous fortresses, churches and some of the oldest settlements, dry landscapes & healthy climate, cool water springs and steppe vegetation.

2. Borjomi - Kharagauli National Park 2 Day - Tour
The site of Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park lies astride a beautiful section of the Central Caucasus. Getting off the beaten pass in Borjomi-Kharagauli Park is an experience into itself. In many ways, it is the epicentre of everything that's still wild and untamed in Georgia.
Borjomi-Kharagauli is the first National Park in the Caucasus. There is an area where the trekking and hiking unbeaten pathways weaved up to the steep rock hills go through wild forest, pass high mountains streams, cross canyons, gorges and alpine meadows peppered with wild flowers. Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park has many stories waiting to be told, and a world of beauty that can renew and bring peace to the spirit.
The road goes via following regions and towns: Tbilisi - the town of Khashuri (113 km) - the village of Rveli (123 km) - the town of Borjomi (145 km) - the village Kvabiskhevi (162 km). The road goes through agricultural lowlands of Kartli Province and beautiful scenery of Tori Province - one of the most attractive regions of Georgia. This part of the country is known by its lush forests and coniferous woods.

If it is your desire you will be able to mill corn and wheat and prepare Pelamushi and Gomi (Georgian national dishes).

This tour leads us to Samtskhe-Javakheti and Imereti regions. First we'll visit dry landscapes of Samtskhe-Javakheti, its churches and some of the oldest settlements in Georgia.
